STAND OUT RADIO – Episode 52: Jemimah Ashleigh – Failure is not fatal

“I get to wake up and do things I love every single day”

From law enforcement officer to jewellery designer, podcaster, social media practitioner, and mentor to small business owners Jemimah Ashleigh has got it going on.

She was also named one the top 10 female entrepreneurs in 2017 and The Business Experiment, which launched 18 months ago, is one of Australia’s fastest growing podcasts.

Jemima is a straight up kind of gal, she tells it how it is. And this is a good thing. In our interview, she shares with honesty, that running a business is hard and there are days when she feels like she wants to quit but she also says that it is one of the most rewarding things you can do.

It’s this honesty that resonates with listeners of the podcast she co-hosts with Shevonne Joyce.

In this week’s episode, we talk about failure and how the misconception of what it means, has us scared to do what we really want to do, when in fact reframing failure can lead us to learn more about ourselves, our business and help others not make the same mistakes.

Words of Wisdom

Self-care is never selfish. Find time to take care of yourself, you’re doing a disservice if you don’t.

***

Failure is not fatal and success is not finite.

***

You’re going to die. Use the time that you have to do the things you want.
