Why you need to build your profile in 2020

I want to talk about the end of the decade. Seriously. We are WEEKS AWAY from this happening. At the start of any new year – I ask myself one question – what do I want from the coming year? This year, I’m asking what I want from the coming decade.

Largely it’s the same thing I have always asked for. To be healthy and happy, to fall in love (firstly with myself), for my family and for business success. I will repeat these every single day and everything that I do will be focused on making this happen.

So my question is – what do you want for this decade?

If you are – at all looking for creative or business success, you must look at building your profile online. It is the one thing you MUST do in 2020.

In 2019, it was reported that 73% of people used Facebook search over Google to look for a service. One billion people asked for recommendations for productions/services in a Facebook status alone. 1 million minutes of live video was streamed on the internet per 60 seconds. 77% of all internet users read blogs regularly.

We looked for everything from household services (plumbers, cleaners, nannys) all the way through to ‘best new comedy clip’ and ‘events on this weekend’ on Facebook. We got suggestions from out networks and that is where we spent money.

The average person spent five hours on their phone per day and at least one hour or simple scrolling.

This is what you have to do.

1.    You have to get intentional.

And also with that intention, you need to be honest about what you want.
And I mean, real honesty about what you want and with REAL honesty – means it shouldn’t sound good to other people.

But do not get it twisted here – every person who has had success, has done so intentionally.

2.    You need to be on social media and you need to be documenting your journey

If you aren’t on social media and doing social media well, it’s the same as us all playing poker and you’re in the corner playing Uno.

Get in the game, show people what you are doing and use social proof.

3.    You owe it to yourself and the people around you to step up to your greatness.
If you’ve read this far, then you know already know that you have something epic and great inside you and that you can achieve big things. Once you get the intention behind you and step up, things are going to change.
