It’s been a year of Zoom calls, sweat pants, isolation, face masks, more hand sanitiser than I thought I would ever use and for me, a million new houseplants. (It’s closer to 35, but I now live in a jungle).

After reviewing the year that’s been, these are the things I learned and take proudly into 2021 as my life lessons from 2020.

Today is my 35th birthday but I am having a COVID birthday which means I’m not doing much.
In the past 12 months, I’ve gotten divorced, travelled for six months, been caught in bushfires, been caught in COVID, pivoted in my business and now living in isolation…. So, as my gift to you on my 35th year on this planet – I’ve made a list of the Top 35 Life Lessons I Have Learned (in the past 12 months)

Also, this stopped me eating another 3 pieces of cake so it’s a win-win.

Today is the 55th day of me being in quarantine and using social distancing methods-  and I will be the first to say I am OVER IT. I moved to a new city at the very start and the only thing I’ve seen is a few running trails, the supermarket, some back streets when I got lost and one Kmart.

But yesterday I had a biz meeting with my amazing friend, let’s call her Katherine. It’s her name so this works – and of course like everyone else is was a hot topic of conversation. We talked about our friends who have lost income and had improv and acting gigs cancelled. She sighed and said – well ‘I guess we need to look at the positives.’ And she is completely right.
